Where can i find wind chimes that wont fall apart??
i live near one of the windiest places in the country, but i love wind chimes. everyone i have bought, ends up broke. where can i find durable ones?
Unfortunately most don't stand up to the weather. Buy ones you really like then replace the string or wire with thin plastic covered braided cable. You can get it at the hardware store and your chimes will last longer than you can bear them; on a really windy day of course. I like them too.

What ornaments/pretty things should I buy for my room?
Basically, my room is now a deep plum colour, and I need new things to put within it!
I like pretty things you can hang from the ceiling, beads, and butterflies, if that helps!
I would love a hippy style room, with lots of cushions and wind chimes, what sort of things should I buy?
**10 points for most thoruogh and informative, with links included (possibly)**
get some beads to layer on the closet doors and the windows
get some cushions to mound on the bed and in the corner
get some wind chimes to hang in front of the windows
go to Romancing the Stone and buy the hippy stuff
this should be fun!
there is lots of garden stuff going on the shelves at Garden Ridge and Michaels and Hobby Lobby...look at it too

Where would I look to find the key to wind up the antique clock I've just bought at auction?
The clock has 3 holes in the face for winding but I can't find the key - on another old clock I have it tucks away in the case but I can't find anything on this clock. It also has a string underneath the case that when pulled makes the clock chime. It has 8 bells Westminster written on the top dial. How much would it cost to buy a replacement key if it is missing?
If you do a web search for "antique clock parts" you will find many sites that might have what you are looking for.
The string you mention is called a repeater and is designed to have the clock repeat the time. A nice feature back when you didn't have electric lights and you wanted the time without lighting a candle.

is this a good gift for my sister..?
so i'm 27 and my sis is 29. Im buying her a gift for her first home she just bought. I'm throwing her a housewarming party. so for her gift i got her a really nice wind chime & cross crystal figurine.
i plan on also buying her other home stuff like frames or decorations. is this good enough? i mean i want to get her like a sentimental gift:wind chime & figurine and then some misc stuff...
That's a beautiful gift, I'm sure that she'll absolutely love it!
